Project Description:
The Angul Aluminium Park project aimed to develop a state-of-the-art industrial park to support the aluminium manufacturing sector in Odisha. The project focused on creating essential infrastructure to attract and support industrial operations, ensuring the park’s sustainability, operational efficiency, and environmental safety. The development includes provisions for road networks, water supply systems, sewage treatment, and stormwater management, all designed to meet the demands of heavy industrial use.
Scope of Work:
- Road Design and Construction:
- Road Network Layout: Designed and developed the layout of internal roads and external connectivity, ensuring smooth access for heavy vehicles and efficient transportation within the park.
- Pavement Design: Provided detailed design for durable road surfaces capable of handling high-load traffic typical of industrial parks.
- Traffic Management: Developed road signage, traffic control, and safety measures to ensure safe movement within the park.
- Sewage and Wastewater Management:
- Sewage System Design: Designed an efficient sewage system, including main sewage lines and connections for each industrial unit, ensuring proper waste treatment and disposal.
- Sewage Treatment Plant (STP): Developed plans for an on-site sewage treatment facility to treat wastewater generated by the park, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Water Supply System:
- Water Network Design: Engineered a comprehensive water supply network to meet the needs of industrial units and common facilities, including the design of pipelines, reservoirs, and pumping stations.
- Source Development and Treatment: Identified suitable water sources and designed water treatment facilities to ensure a clean, reliable water supply for the park.
- Hydraulic Design: Ensured optimal water pressure and flow to all areas within the park, addressing both industrial and domestic needs.
- Stormwater Drainage:
- Drainage System Design: Designed an effective stormwater drainage system to manage surface runoff, prevent flooding, and minimize environmental impact during heavy rainfall.
- Rainwater Harvesting: Integrated rainwater harvesting provisions to utilize stormwater for non-potable purposes, enhancing sustainability.
- Erosion Control and Flood Prevention: Implemented measures to control soil erosion and prevent waterlogging around the park’s critical infrastructure.
